Lets you connect the external 3.5-inch diskette drive, if you've removed the diskette drive from the SelectBay to install the DVD-ROM or CD-ROM drive module

Fast infrared port

Infrared Data Association (IrDA)-compliant serial infrared port enables 4Mbps (FIR mode) cableless data transfer with IrDA 1.1-compatible external devices

Headphone jack

Use the 3.5 mm headphone jack to connect stereo headphones or other audio output devices. Connecting headphones or other devices to this jack automatically disables the internal speakers. This jack also supports Dolby Digital Surround Sound. See DVD Player overview for more information.

Line-in jack

3.5 mm mini line-in stereo jack lets you connect an external stereo device for audio input

Line-out jack

3.5 mm mini line-out stereo jack lets you connect an external stereo device for audio output

Microphone jack

3.5 mm stereo jack lets you connect an external monaural microphone or other audio input device such as Dolby Digital Surround Sound support

Intel ProShare v2.0 with Data Sharing and Microsoft NetMeeting software lets you conduct personal video conferences using your computer's built-in modem and video-conferencing camera. You can share applications with other participants in the video conference, and transfer files.

Video capture

VideoBrush? software lets you use the

video-conferencing camera provided with your computer to quickly capture images (such as meeting notes or overhead slides) and share them with the other participants of a video conference. Once the images are captured and saved, you can send the images by e-mail or fax, or print them.

In addition, Microsoft VidCap video capture software comes preinstalled on the computer.

System Management

LANDeskŪ Client Manager software provides notebook operating status, maintains the hardware and software inventory on an integrated database, and allows remote access of the notebook for network administration and problem resolution
